5 Daily Marketing Tips for Leaders
1. Visualize your goal and what you desire
This marketing tip will actually set the tone for all the other steps. When you wake up and before you go to sleep, put yourself in the space of ALREADY achieving your goals. Meditate, feel, taste, and smell the outcome. If you do it right this part will become so real to you that it will naturally move you to the next step.
2. Income producing activities
This particular marketing tip is considered a compromising area for most. Some think that checking email, organizing files, desk or office, planning the day, training others, and talking on the phone about any and everything; is considered being productive. Not true at all. The only TWO things that make you money are: 1. taking massive action on marketing and 2. speaking to qualified prospects on the phone. Period point blank end of story.
3. Personal development, self-mastery
Work on yourself more than you work on your business. This means every single day reading or listening or watching something that will better you as a leader. There is always enough time in the day. Turn off the tv, put down the newspapers and garbage novels. At lunch if you have an iPod or iPhone put on your headsets and listen to Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, or whoever you choose. Allow their words and beliefs to transform you into a better leader.
4. Mastermind with other leaders
Put yourself in the position of being surrounded by other high-caliber professionals. There is much to be said by being around other like-minded professionals that may be step ahead of you as a leader. Learn through the collaborative efforts from the professionals who have the skills and business success plans that are similar to those you aspire to possess.
5. Position myself at the top
Always play from the top! If you don’t have the money to get at the top then work your butt off finding ways to get it or to climb your way through the ranks. Leaders understand that those who typically get to the top take business seriously. They play to win! And winning means more business, satisfaction and let’s face it – money!

12 Ideas on How To Say No
One of the leading issues that is brought up and worked on in a Masterminds and Mentors group, is the inability to effectively say “NO” in business. Here are 12 steps to consider as you move forward knowing that NO, is actually a good answer!
1. Recognize that a desire to please often prevents us from saying no.
2. We say “yes” to others because we want to please them. But when eventually we can’t continue, we let them down and we feel guilty. Both parties suffer and so may the relationship.
3. Stick to you plan! To support this, have your goals and marketing strategies written down and posted in full view.
4. Remember, there are only 2 clear responses. Yes. No. Any other answer is an excuse to avoid commitment.
5. Repeat your position to those who persist. Change up your words some; and repeat your position.
6. Be clear. Be sure you know exactly what is being asked before you respond. Listen for the full scope of the request to determine the longevity of the project or for the possibility of it being a “quick hit”.
7. Become an expert in your niche rather than being everything to everyone.
8. You have a right to say no! Sometimes no is necessary to maintain respect.
9. Remind others of other projects that you are working on that are top priorities.
10. Share the fact that you may be able to assist; however with all going on you will not be able to produce the usual high standards.
11. Keep your answer short. There is no need to justify your answer. Lengthy responses may result in your putting the same answer off for a future date and can even compromise your credibility.
12. Negotiate the timeframe for the request.

Seasons
The change of seasons means so much. Springtime for me means a renewed spirit. Different outdoor and indoor activities to consider. A new focus on how to spend my time.
Springtime for me, outside of these annoying allergies, means more energy. Energy to apply to the many activities that not only do I let go over the winter but all of those terrific activites that I can now do outdoors. The bright sun shows me what I let go indoors over the long winter season and must take care of inside the house. Crazy how I don’t see some of that dirt all winter long. LOL. Suddenly when the front door opens … where on earth did that, that, that dirt come from?! OK, great. I can take care of this stuff in the early part of the day so that as it warms, I can be outdoors.
Outdoors. The frogs are croaking and I can hear as the birds return to the woods behind the house. Good thing I put new bird seed out there because if I am not mistaken, the Rose Breasted Grosebeek made it’s return sometime over night. The Wren’s too, I heard them for the first time this spring; this morning. I have heard from others that the Hummingbirds are back, but I haven’t seen one. Today I must get their red drink out for them. I just bought some oranges for the Baltimore Oriels, they can’t be far behind. Food for everyone!
Flowers. It is Mother’s Day weekend so I will be treating myself to a lovey assortment of beautiful and colorful flowers. I LOVE THIS! I can’t wait to get outside and participate in the dirt and the subsequent lovely brilliant blooms of flower life. And let’s not forget, nectar for those crazy birds.
What does all of this energy do to my business?
One thing is for sure. Saturday mornings past were to get up and spend hours working on the business tasks that I delight in doing for my customers and the people that I work closely with. While I still spend some time doing that, it pales by comparison to what I was able to do just three or four short weeks ago. Sunday mornings from time to time, included some level of business if for no other reason than to keep up the momentum. Keep moving forward. Sunday morning business momentum, well; I don’t see business sneaking in to these upcoming spring and summer days very much at all.
So if I am reducing Saturdays and eliminating Sunday’s business activities for a couple of short months, will I accomplish as much business? I will go out on a limb and say….YES!
If I am feeling energized about myself in the spring, there are so many others out there who are equally jazzed to make some changes and quite possibly; others who are even more whipped up and excited than I! I think this is where the saying comes in, work hard and play harder. This quote must have been coined in MN in the springtime. LOL.
My business of assisting others in moving forward in their business and their professional lives is so very exciting; for those who participate in the Masterminds and Mentors groups and for me. Small business owners or solopreneurs will work very hard during the week to better their business; overcome personal barriers which will directly better their bottom line. Masterminds Advantage focuses those who want a deeper level of accountability and want to accomplish “impossible” things! I get the privilege of working with those who believe in the “work hard play harder” mentality. And considering currently all of the Masterminds and Mentors activity is located in Minnesota, I am betting we all spend more time working ON ourselves and our business during the week and ON our personal lives on the weekends.
So why am I sitting here writing all of this when there are so many exciting things to do today?
Good question!
